I have been exploring some of the discussions here but also a little overwhelming because there are so many directions one can take when starting out. I have got some background in programming & data visualization; though I have not worked directly with decentralized infrastructure before.
I want to know about how beginners should approach building small but meaningful projects that can be tested in real-world scenarios. Do you think it makes sense to start with community-driven projects; or is it better to learn by experimenting with individual tools & APIs first? Also; what kind of resources or platforms have you found the most helpful while getting started??
I have been brushing up on data handling skills through a Power BI Course which has been useful for understanding data flow; though I am not sure how much of that knowledge directly applies here. Also i have check this How to list My project on Depinscan.io? still need help.
alright, deep breaths. it’s easy to get lost in the sauce when you first drop in.
Cool that you know data viz, but DePIN is less about making pretty charts and more about the metal. Forget the corporate stuff for a minute.
You’re asking the right questions, but you’re overthinking it. Don’t worry about “community-driven” vs “individual” yet. Just start.
We have a grant for people exactly like you. It’s called the Explorer Level grant. We literally give you up to 500 USDT in funds and hardware (like an RPi or Arduino) to just… build a thing. A prototype. No pressure.
Go look at the DePIN submission ideas if you need inspiration. Find one that looks fun, apply for the grant, and get your hands dirty. That’s how you learn.
now you’re talking. that’s the kind of signal i like to see. esp32 is practically a native language here. you gonna be the one to build it, or just teasing me with good ideas?
another one. good to see people building instead of just talking.
‘help with programming code and few other things’ is broad. you’ll get better answers if you’re specific. what’s the device? what’s the stack? what have you tried?
discord’s your best bet for that kind of chat. that’s where the other devs hang out. drop your questions in there.
