IoPay private key data is missing

Hi. Was having problem with my IoPay in my Android phone (was infected). So I uninstall and reinstall IoPay app.

It ask for pin so I tap my pin and the wallet is open. Wallet address is correct, but it display error message “Your private key data is missing”.

I view private key for that wallet in my IoPay Android App. It shows : “Could not load the wallet account”.

So I try go to setting → manage wallet and add wallet → import wallet.

I insert my private key there and tap Next. It says “The wallet address already exists. Please try another one!”

There is no option to delete or remove wallet in ‘Manage Wallet’ page. So I can not restore my private key as long as that existed wallet address is still there. And I could not find a way to resolve this missing private key issue.

What can I do to resolve this problem?

Orait I’ve solved the problem.

Issue:
If you are facing the same problem where you have backup of your private key, but then need to uninstall/reinstall IoPay (Android). After you open the app, it will directly ask to create pin, and then your wallet is open but with issue of private key data is missing.

Solution:
Go to App Info of IoPay (In android system, not in IoPay itself). This may vary depending on your Android version or Smartphone UI.

For recent Android, just tap and hold for about 1 second on IoPay icon, a pop up will show up where you can choose App Info.

The other way, go to your Android setting, and find App Management. Search IoPay in app management, and tap on IoPay in the list to show up App Info page.

From there, in App Info, go to storage usage.
Tap Clear cache.
Tap Clear data.

Do not uninstall after this process. Just open up IoPay and it will show page with terms for you to agree just like the first time you install IoPay. Just follow the instruction to import your wallet. Your IoPay will return to normal =)

*As long as you save or have your private key, there will be a way for you to access your wallet. So keep it safe.
