Is ioUSDC a stablecoin?

If I have converted my iotx to iousdc in iopay wallet, can I transfer them to Coinbase or Kraken? Is this iotx’s own XRC20 version of USDC stablecoin and can it be transferrable between different blockchain networks? Can someone please explain? Thank you!

Thanks for writing in.

The token you are talking about is IoTeX’s own native stablecoin which is backed by off-chain assets. You cannot send this token anywhere outside of the IoTeX blockchain.

You can send all USDC or USDT assets cross-chain via iotube.org, but please don’t try to send it directly from your wallet to an exchange, or you will lose your assets
