Proposal Description
The Iotex Blockchain University club will basically create and bring awareness and education about IoT, Blockchain, and in particular to Iotex blockchain real world usecases and solutions to our traditional challenges in most industries
The Iotex University Blockchain Club will focuse on playing a critical role in advancing blockchain education and addressing the current traditional challenges with an envision of Blockchain and IOT in particular Iotex the first decentralized ecosystem where humans and machines can interact with guaranteed trust, free will, and privacy. This will help our community to understand how the massive gaps in security, privacy, and interoperability that restrict the potential of IoT, especially for everyday people and businesses would be solved by the envision of IotexFor decades,
This will be possible through hosting both physical and virtual meetups across different universities in the region, on boarding more developers, provision of educational content, tutorials, hosting boot camps,Introducing Blockchain topics on the University curriculum , social media engagements among others
We shall use this grant to facilitate us periodically organize Meetup’s both virtual and physical Meetup’s to discuss different topics related to cryptocurrencies blockchain technology in Particular with Defi, DApps , NFTs, Internet of things devices etc. We would have tutorials and topics that could range from investing to development to technology thus meaning clubs would be open to all levels of knowledge, and hopes to inform the students and other members and inspire enthusiasm about Blockchain technology in particular to Iotex unique usecases and solutions
Millstones
First we plan to have hosted three meetups in the month of February in the Central of Uganda ie Kampala city in these respective Universities Kyambogo University, Makerere University, and Kampala international University
Second Milestone
Hosted at least more two meetups in Northern Uganda Gulu University and Gulu innovation Hub
To have hosted two local community meetup in Kampala
Third Milestone
Hosted three meetups in Southern West of Uganda at Mbarara university science and technology, Kabale University and Bishop Barham
In conclusion we will have a total of 8 meetups hosted different Universities, two meetups for the local community as well
