On Android I tried signing up with my Coinbase iotx wallet address but it didn’t work…
Thanks for your guidance…I’m still lost
When I transferred from Crypto.com I looked at the send history I clicked on the address then on view on explorer took me to IOTEX page clicked on to: address and copied that on iopay under address
I know rite can’t they justt blacklist the lost tokens burn them so deemed useless and of no monetary value treated it like insufficient funds on a declined purchase if they are picked up they do it to lost iPhones they blacklist the one I and esn so they are rendered useless even if you end up finding it And them issue fresh ones or this could be a way to decrease the supply amount do a buy back if enough to cover losses and then two birds 1 bird is the refund the sweet bird is the supply gets exhausted and the value raises fast and could sway a forgiveness for this with the bad taste eft in a number of loyal hard workings investors that truly share and see the vision and future iotex brings to the table. I know I ramble sorry about it all we can do is have faith that iotex will do the right thing I’ve folllewd this technology since I was a little kid at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland exhibit of toasters talking to frigeraters and fridges & coffee pots talking too the store and a delivery to stock you mr fridge was all put n it’s rightful place in the pantry by Rosie from the jetsons Slightly shewed it I was like 6. But this came along and thought this is it what I’ve been waiting for and it’s happening and I am truly x cited to watch iylt materialize ya fascinating to me I wishh I could more that watch id like to be involved with helping it happen that’s where investing comes in to play and telling everyone I know that trades eToro to heck out iotex they are whats up and it was a fraction of penny
And I knew it would be a success I’m not gonna say how much i lost but it’senough to where I could see how someone oils want ever go outside and never trust another soul on earth again But I’m not that guy believe 100 percent that this will be corrected and everything will return return to business as usual I ant give up on iotex truly believe in this company and I’m not gonna let this correctable hiccup in the growing pains of the freshly listed coinbase gig for iotex steer me from want to remain a consistent investing supporter of iotex But
It’s how the powers that beat iotex Chose to handle themselves through this over site on bouts ends of the transaction ire we should do our due diligense and research every coin now how they are to be transferred and maybe it’s a wake up call that people see dollar signs and like a fly to a bug zapper it’s so pretty then ZZZZZAAAAAPPPPPPP!!! But it’s also we are not the professionals and no doubt that the good people f iotex have far more tacit knowledge f the project and blockchain haptics than you or I but everyone a goof up some times and too me all would be forgiven if it goes down as I mentioned with the blacklist burn reissue supply decrease price increases stalkers very happy coin traders still trading haopy and face is saved y all and water under the bridge or tube lol
Again sorry for the ramble
Please sign this petition guys!!! I am a long time crypto enthusiast, this is literally the first time I have potentially lost funds. This is a blatant misrepresentation of a token on coinbase part!!! https://chng.it/LwJnP876 #lostiotx #coinbaseiotx
As of right now. We are at 195 signatures. We are gaining ground.
The truth is that Coinbase is not the only one to blame. Yes, they are the only ones that can help everyone retrieve their funds now but IOTX and Crypto dot com have to share the blame as well.
Hi all, same problem here!
I do not understand!! the IOTX coins was transferred to an address that was provided by Coinbase. I understand that the network not supported by Coinbase but the transaction was successful to the address. so where are the coins now? aren’t they on the address provided by Coinbase?
Thanks!
The address where the coins were sent to resides within the same wallet where the Coinbase ioTex ERC20 tokens are. It is kind of confusing but the coins are there. The only reason why you can’t see them is because Coinbase hasn’t added support for native coins yet. But if you download the ioPay app on your phone you can see the coins.
Hi Frank,
Thanks for the explanation.
I downloaded the ioPay app but I’m not sure how to see the coins. The app asks to create a wallet or to import a wallet. I tried importing a wallet by entering the address which was provided by Coinbase but it says it is invalid. How can I see the coins? Will the coins appear in my Coinbase account if they add support for native coins?
Thanks!
When you are looking at the transaction on the iotex explorer, there are two addresses, a “From:” address and a “To:” address. You need to copy the “To:” address. It should begin with an “io”. That’s the address you paste into the box in the ioPay app when you are trying to import a wallet. Just make sure that you are using the box that open when you touch “Address” and not “Key Store” nor “Private Key” because it will not work in those. That will allow you to see your coins that are residing in the Coinbase hosted wallet.
Hi Frank,
Thanks for your reply.
The address the coins were sent to start with “0x” not with “io” and the transaction was done on Binance’s BEP2/BEP20 chain. I can see in the transaction and the tokens in Binance Smart Chain Explorer.
Does this means the coins are lost forever? What if Coinbase add support for the native ITOX? Will that help to gain access to the coins?
Thanks!
Ok then you probably have to use MetaMask or Trust Wallet to view the address. If you sent the coins from Binance then you have to use a wallet that supports that chain and both of the ones I mentioned earlier support them. You can’t us ioPay because I don’t think it supports BEP coins. I might be mistaken but I will check and let you know.
Actually, if you just want to see the coins, all you have to do is go to bscscan.com and type the address in the search bar on top and it will show you that the coins reside in that wallet. But that website is only for Binance tokens and coins. Let me know if that works.
Hi Frank,
Thank you!
Yes, indeed I can see the coins on bscscan.com.
Is there a hope for us all to recover our lost coins? If Coinbase start supporting native ITOX, will the coins show up in our wallets?
Thanks!
The only way is for Coinbase to enable IOTX native coins on their hosted wallets but I also think that if they enable the native coins on their Coinbase wallet app, we might be able to import them to that wallet and then we should be able to send them where ever we want.
I have already started with this. It has been a few months. THEY SUCK. Coinbase support does not even respond to my email, Twitter, Instagram or Reddit.
Mine is also just loading.
Hello Frank,
Any hope for us? I can now see my coins on iopay.
Just so depressed right now
I think we do. It’s just a matter of time.
I’m with Frank. I hope that the pressure will work on them to support the native IOTX.
So the IOTX coin on Coinbase is really a Wrapped IOTX like Wrapped Luna or Wrapped Centrifuge on the Ethereum blockchain instead of the native blockchain, which should have been named WIOTX instead, like WLUNA and WCFG.
We need to pound them until they provide support for the IOTX native coin or band together and file a class action lawsuit to have them retrieve the funds for us.
