Petition · Coinbase adding support for IOTX native token - United States · Change.org sign the petition!!! also share to your family and friends!!!
I suggest we all just get on social media and spread the word on the trap that IoTex as well as Crypto.com set for us because that’s what I feel they have done. They set a trap for money invested in their coin and knew that people would buy up IOTX tokens on Crypto.com and swap them quickly over to Coinbase to sell for a profit. They intentionally let this happen over and over to people. In doing this they then created a separate wallet address on their platform so the coins would be viewable on their IoPay wallet so we could “See the coins” then placate us by telling us that we can have the coins as soon as Coinbase agrees use the IoTex blockchain. Then labeling us as Noobies and stating we need to do a better job in educating ourselves on how and what to transfer.
Release our coins.
Not your keys not your coin! I guess I have learned this the hard way. Unfortunately coinbase was the first exchange I signed up for and as I did it a while ago and was a noob at the time I thought I did have the keys. I’m not making anymore new purchases on coinbase and slowly getting my stuff moved to cold storage wallets.
Coinbase has shown me that they don’t care about their customers! I’ll be leaving too. But for now I have to remain optimistic. I want my coins back!
Look, we all have the power to make our voices heard. We can all contact our local congressman to tell them what Coinbase is doing and that they have basically robbed thousands of hard working Americans and they are hiding behind unregulated laws, this is exactly why the US government wants regulation on crypto. Because right now, we can’t do squat until we make some noise. Please let me know if yall want to make this a joint effort. Jslaughter214@gmail.com. I’m ready to fight this all the way. I AM TIRED OF GETTING ROBBED, ARE YOU?
Update here
Coinbase officially added erc 20 to the IotEX symbol on their platform today.
They need to add the native IoTEX too. They know that was wrong to trick us out our tokens. Coinbase, please put the native token on your platform also so we can receive our tokens.
That’s what I’ve been debating with iotex leadership. They say they had no control over the ticker symbol, but CB will not list anything if it were going to cause confusion. This was either an oversight that they didn’t think it would be confusing for CB users who aren’t as experienced (even experienced ones got bamboozled as you know) or it was intentional because they knew this would happen. I believe the latter since iotex is the only project I know where they auto-create a wallet on their IOPAY wallet when incompatible transactions are sent. Typically, when two incompatible tokens are sent out, it just gets rejected. IoTex needs to return all the native tokens on their iopay wallet that are being held ransom when they and victims have records of the transactions.
Send messages to @zimne and find other iotex leaders and tell them to do the right thing and release our tokens. It’s our money that they’re using to gain higher value. It’s outright stealing. CB’s update is proof that there were many who have complained.
Same for me over 21500 iotex and i dont mo what i can do now …
After all this time I am trying very hard not to think that this wasn’t intentional. There’s a guilty silence around the matter in the forums from iotex devs.
Coinbase as well trying to change things in their defense.
It’s pretty much obvious at this point that both of them rely on us that we didn’t do our “research” before the transaction so it’s our fault.
Even if it is, as I’ve said again, there are ways of helping people since we aren’t talking about 1 or 2 people with the same problem.
And since it’s about a huge amount of money, I think they are afraid of the Iotex token price crashing after a solution! Cause probably lots of people gonna sell…
Hi guys, if you have already sent a formal complaint to Coinbase and they have simply told you that it is your fault (as they did to me) we can all send a final complaint to this site indicating the number that coinbase has assigned to our complaint. They deal with free legal aid in the UK and have seen many of these situations before. Plus we denounce this situation, the more they will be able to be incisive. Do this too please, for sure it can’t hurt!
@zimne So what you are saying is that both the ioTex address and ERC20 address are the same. It’s just that one is the interpretation of IOTX and the other is the interpretation of the ethereum network, correct? But both are the same public address.
It’s not a couple of people it’s a lot. They intentionally misled the investors if this coin with not including the (native or ERC-20) when moving the IOTX coin off of Crypto.com. I have been moving coins between platforms for over a year and this is the first time I have had a problem. My thoughts are Coinbase will probably allow the native token when the price is close to evening out between platforms. At least I hope so as I am in this for 5 figures.
Point me where I said that it’s a couple of people…
Here! I’ve marked it for you.
Since it’s in the UK, can we fill it out in the US?
If they help us I will try to talk all of the people in our Facebook group not to sell. I’m sure they’ll be happy just knowing that we will get our coins back and just go about our everyday hodling.
Well good luck on that!
After all this mess I don’t think people will continue to trust IOTEX as a project…
I think a lot are considering, if not done it already, going the legal way about this!
Yes Krismk, a lot have asked me if I want to join in the legal dispute. And I’m willing to do it.
Here is my most recent communication with coinbase
That is the problem!!! Your list of assets at the time of transaction said you accepted IOTX and at that time you did not say that you do not accept IOTX in its native coin nor did you say anything about how coinbase uses a modified version of the IOTX asset that you bastardized into an ERC20.
It is obvious you know that you fucked up because you have recently differentiated IOTX as a non-native token on your platform. All you have to do is fund everybody’s coinbase wallet with the ERC20 version of the real IOTX asset.
You have our money and this is fraud!
At the time I made my transaction you fraudulently claimed on your list of approved assets that you supported IOTX. Now in order to cover your tracks you have changed that to only supporting the ERC20 version.
It is your responsibility to make right the problem that YOU created. Either fund our accounts or support the IOTX network!
I’m willing to go that route also. I have no trust now in Coinbase or IOTX. So much for arbitrage. They are both thieves at this point.
