I have provided all screenshots and details over email to support@iotex.io but they don’t seem to care. They don’t even see that I am saying I didn’t do those transactions. They are blaming directly on it being my mistake. For a proof of how they handle such a thing and how much they are taking it seriously I have attached a screenshot of their response on my main comment. Check it out.
Adding here as do not have option to add it on main comment.
You can see they clearly do not want to do any checks on what actually happened. If a customer lost money on their app all they say is that it’s our fault and we should get a ledger.
Thank you zimne for all the input. I do have to say it’s been exhausting to get to this explanation finally.
I have IOTX in BSC Metamask.I"m trying to send to Iopay to stake.
I do not have access to Binance.
When I try to use the iotube.org as you suggest, the tokens do not show up.
- I added the Iotex network to Metamask.
- While in the BSC network. I have set the sending network as BSC. I set the receiver as CIOTX (is this correct?).
- When I try to type in any amount, I get an ‘invalid amount’ grayed out notice below.
Help!!
hello can i get some help with this i wanted to buy iotex on my iopay and was running test and somehow parked wrapped etherum here io1kav80e0k26f055fzcaa73khme9ppwkcppvgc23
Hello. I installed iopay v 1.0.16 today. To create new tokens for example, NFT, I need to add the created token to iopay (this is written in the instructions). My version of the wallet doesn’t have this capability.
Please help me resolve this issue.
Hello I need help really badly please. Star crazy would not come up on my IoPay wallet even after rebooting, and reinstalling my IoPay wallet. the worst part is after I updated the version when trying to import my wallet it is telling me my private key is invalid but it’s the only one I have obviously and I have the key in a screenshot so i know it is correct. HOW DO I GET MY WALLET BACK???! PLEASE AND THANKS FOR THE HELP.
i have the same problem
it’s a blockchain. it’s decentralized. They don’t control the blockchain. You gave them very little info to work with it looks like and with insufficient information they can’t tell you anything more than it takes the key to get in there, and if something was stolen then it must have been someone who had the key. I know you’re frustrated but your description of their handling of it is distorted and speculative. They have always claimed it’s safer to use a hardware wallet and the point of decentralization is to make you self sufficient, free and in control/independent. it’s confusing to learn this stuff well but breathe and be patient and keep searching for your answers.
I have shared all the information. The screenshots, the addresses, transaction details all of it. They said the transaction is made to same address as previous transactions. All the previous transactions are within my wallet of coin swap. So shouldn’t these transactions also land in my wallet itself? Don’t speak that I did not share all details if you don’t already know what all I have shared with the support. I am not new I am using many other wallet platforms, exchanges, farming options, defi, nft platforms. I have checked everything properly and the transactions don’t make sense. And even after me providing them all details they actually didn’t care that this happened. All they said is I did it. Shouldn’t a platform if it is legit themselves care to see if some issue is there?
I feel sorry you had the issue. Some of my friends had it too. So I stopped using this wallet. The support doesn’t care that customers money is losing seems like they themselves may be involved.
Hi, i habe same problem…please check your inbox. Thank you
Hi @talueng, if I understood your problem, you used the function “Reassign bucket”. This function transfers the staking bucket to a different address. If the destination address that you input is your own (i.e. you created that address in a wallet app) then you can still recover your staking: just import the private key of the destination address in ioPay.
If the destination address you used in the reassign bucket is NOT yours (i.e. it’s an exchange’s address or a contract address) then your tokens are, unfortunately, lost.
yes, that is my problem.but where does the wallet address “io1qnpz47hx5q6r3w876axtrn6yz95d70cjl35r53” come from
i have not actively selected this address io1qnpz47hx5q6r3w876axtrn6yz95d70cjl35r53
You can think of it like a “smart contract” address that manages the staking actions. When you do a staking action the transaction is always sent to that address, along with all the tokens and data required to perform the action.
So in your case you executed a “Reassign bucket” action to a certain recipient (I don’t know what address you used as the recipient, but if you send me the tx link I can find out), this action is sent to the special address “io1qnpz47…r53” such that the blockchain recognizes it as a staking action and performs the required task.
The most important thing is what address did you put in the destination when you executed the Reassign Bucket? If you can’t remember, you can send here the transaction link and we can find out in the transaction data.
Ok, send it you by private message
@talueng From the two hashes that you sent me, I see that you transferred two buckets, both of them were sent to this address:
io10rzsk…qqjwv (or, expressed in “0x…” format: 0x78c50…664fb)
You set this address as the destination when you executed the Reassign Bucket action: where did you find that address?
I didn’t choose them. I have no idea what happened, I just wanted to unstake and thought ressaign it works.
I got you, but in ioPay when you execute the “Reassign” action you are asked for a recipient address, (look below): you must have input an address there, otherwise, it would not allow you to perform the “Reassign” (which in the latest version of ioPay is called “Transfer” BTW).
Now, for sure the address that you input was io10rzsk…qqjwv.
If you recognize that one as one of your addresses (either an ioPay address in the form of io10rzsk…qqjwv
, or a Matamask address in the form of 0x78c50…664fb
) then you can recover your funds. If you don’t recognize that address then you just transferred your bucket to an unknown recipient and you won’t be able to recover.
Thank you.
Sorry, now i delete my IOTEX Wallet.
I want forget IOTEX…
