## Project Details
The mission of snailmail_ is to integrate cryptography/blockchain technology into our global postal systems and services. The modern-day postal system as we know it is grossly inefficient and plagued with archaic policies and practices. This dramatically abates its efficiency. This proposal should act as a formal request of financially support from the iotex community. If accepted, this will allow snailmail_ (who has always been full of creative thoughts but empty of resources to implement them) to establish an official treasury to begin contributing to its mission.

The overarching goal of snailmail_’s first product launch is to build a community of ____ around the world that support our mission of integrating cryptography/blockchain technology into our global postal systems and services. This will be achieved while bringing a heightened awareness to the ingenuity of the iotex blockchain. In the product launch of snailmail_AI the goal is to introduce a layer of additional privacy/cryptography to global correspondence systems specifically by developing a device (and/or technology) that catalyzes innovation. ## Proposal Description
snailmail_NFT will be the first of three early stage, yet exciting products that snailmail_ hopes to offer on the iotex blockchain! snailmail_NFT, if approved, will be a NFT marketplace emphasizing the need for blockchain solutions to global efficiencies related to postal systems and services. The platform will begin as a marketplace of digital art, or NFTs, that will act as a generator of initial community support before attractive, yet unique features (such as NFT staking, yield rewards, etc.) are integrated. It will act as an additional source of revenue for the establishment of snailmail_’s main treasury, and it will fund organizational efforts around the world that are aligned to snailmail_’s mission.

In closing, the iotex community can look forward to our additional product offering, the snailmail_AI, after the bootstrapping of the snailmail_NFT marketplace and snailmail_DAO. Stay tuned!

*Milestone 1: Establishment of an Official snailmail_ General Operating Fund

  • Duration (weeks): within one week of community funding acceptance
  • Deliverables: snapshot/receipt of wallet address balance; announcement via acquisitionDAO’s social media page/s; etc.
  • Funds request (USD): <$5,000 USD
    -Use Cases: general operating fund of snailmail_ (restricted and unrestricted accounts), advanced wallet storage for enhanced security, unexpected expenses, etc.
  • Milestone 2: Development/Official Launch of Social Media Accounts (Twitter, Medium, Discord)
  • Duration (weeks): within two weeks of previous milestone
  • Deliverables: announcement via acquisitionDAO’s social media page/s; announcement via newly acquired snailmail_’s social media page/s etc.
  • Funds request (USD): <$3,000 USD
    -Use Cases: fund three premium/business social media accounts, community building rewards/incentives (NFT giveaways, $iotex token giveaways, community collaborations, etc.), etc.
  • Milestone 3: Selection of/Submission of Donation to Official snailmail_ Charity Organization
  • Duration (weeks): within three weeks of previous milestone
  • Deliverables: snapshot/receipt of submission, announcement via acquisitionDAO’s social media page/s; announcement via snailmail_’s social media page/s etc.
  • Funds request (USD): <$2,000 USD
    -Use Cases: philanthropy will be a pillar of the snailmail_ project as we acknowledge that tackling our mission cannot be done alone. Real-world organizations will receive donations via the revenue raised our NFT sales. A percentage of each NFT’s royalty fee will be allocated to a charity of the community’s choice . However, if membership contribution would not commence until the second NFT drop of snailmail_NFT project.
  • Milestone 4: Selection/Launch of Official snailmail_ Website/NFT Digital Artist/s + Project Concept Development Consultation/s
  • Duration (weeks): within six weeks of previous milestone
  • Deliverables: copy of contract/receipt of purchase announcement via acquisitionDAO’s social media page/s; announcement via snailmail_’s social media page/s etc.
  • Funds request (USD): <$5,000 USD
    -Use Cases: create social media presence for snailmail_ and its mission, establish contractual relationships with the other iotex artists/developers, discover/establish additional sources of revenue, finalized detailed roadmap development, etc.

snailmail_ aims to buidl a community of like-minded individuals who would like to see advancement/s within our postal services and systems. (Phase One) snailmail_ (via snailmail_NFT) will mint 10,000 NFTs in an effort to build the community’s awareness/support of our mission while raising funds for future charity efforts of organizations that align with snailmail_'s mission. (Phase Two) Invest in iotex blockchain technology (via snailmail_AI_) in order to enhance the privacy of consumers of postal services and systems. We are currently brainstorming potential technology and/or devices that will bring the aforementioned privacy to the iotex blockchain. Also looking forward to brainstorming with iotex mentors/advisors. (Phase Three) Establish a DAO. It is our hope that once the community has gained size and traction to establish snailmail_DAO. The goal of the DAO is to acquire the first membership-based blockchain postal office (whether digital or physical location) that leverages the power of the iotex blockchain and services. All phases involved the iotex blockchain and community. We see value in utilizing iotex’s internet of things (IoT) protocol in order to bring blockchain solutions/systems to postal services. The use of “global postal systems and services” includes the contributions of USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc. We see the opportunity of the Iotex blockchain in introducing a heighten degree of interoperability both between these already established entities and possibly creating new innovative technologies/devices that are aligned.
