Proposal Description

GetBlock Cross-chain Explorer for IoTex is a user-friendly blockchain explorer in a smooth app-like interface. The basic functionality will include public API for developers and cross-chain transactions display.
Our explorer will provide on-chain data insights such as transactions, blocks, nodes, accounts and analytical dashboard. However, core functionalities also include public API development along with cross-chain functionality. Moreover, our explorer seeks to improve the design side as well.
We believe it is important to foster ties between projects in the Web3 space as well as to grow the decentralized ecosystem of apps and tools.That is why we aim at building a user-friendly blockchain explorer in an app-like modern interface. We want to build an easy-to understand tool fit for both newbies and crypto-savvy individuals.
At the moment we’re focused on building for EVM-compatible chains like IoTex, and our experience in such development allows us to significantly reduce time and costs to release a product.
We have already deployed explorers. GetBlock Explorer team is a grantee of NEAR Foundation (twice), Harmony Protocol and Flow.

Milestones

  • Milestone 1:
    • Duration (weeks): 6 weeks
    • Deliverables (make sure they can be easily verified): explorer with developer API. Explorer pages: Dashboard, Accounts overview + single account page, Blocks overview + single block page, Transactions overview + single transaction page. Public API methods: Account - Get by address, Get latest active, List transactions, daily transaction rate statistic for an account (in\out\total); Block - Get by hash/height, List latest, List transactions; Tx - Get, List latest, Statistics for tx counts per block, fee dynamic; Logs - Get by Tx, Get by block; Total amount of blocks, tx and accounts and their daily dynamic; Average block production time and current transaction rate per second
    • Funds request (USD): 15,000 USD
  • Milestone 2:
    • Duration (weeks): 6 weeks
    • Deliverables: Cross-chain transactions: List of cross-chain transactions, Single cross-chain transaction page
    • Funds request (USD): 8,000 USD

The following milestones are optional. If there is an interest from the community or foundation in them - we can proceed with all or one of them.

  • Milestone 3:

    • Duration (weeks): 8 weeks
    • Deliverables: FT/NFT detalization. Smart contracts parsing, Display the details about the transaction, Display token information on the single account page
    • Funds request (USD): 10,000 USD

  • Milestone 4:

    • Duration (weeks): 4 weeks
    • Deliverables: Charts and stats dashboard. Analytics dashboard: Block (Average time), Tx (Daily count, Average fee), Account (Daily active, Top Holders), Contracts (Daily Created), Market (Price, Capitalization), Chain (TVL).
    • Funds request (USD): 8,000 USD

  • Milestones 1, 2, 3: 33,000 USD

About your Team

  • Alex (PM) - 7+ years of experience in marketing along with 3+ years of experience in IT projects management. He constantly takes part in diverse product R&D courses to enhance our product strategy.
  • Frank (Backend lead) - Go, Cassandra, Clickhouse, NATS, Redis are the ones most commonly used on a daily basis. His total development experience accounts for 4+ years most of which are closely tied with working on blockchain-related projects. Moreover, he manages and reviews the work of another back end who help him in building explorers: Marcel.
  • Mike (Frontend) - Nuxt, Vuex, Tailwind, Jest, Sentry. 4+ years of experience.
  • Arthur (DevOps) - 4+ years of experience which brought Docker, Nomad, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Consul, Envoy to his stack.
  • Patric (UX/UI designer) - experienced in graphic and UI/UX design for over 4 years.

GetBlock Explorer team is a part of GetBlock - blockchain infrastructure provider operating in the blockchain sector for 2+ years.

Metrics

Our key metrics will revolve around uniques user of the explorer for the time period and the number of API clients.
The plan is to reach at least 5’000 unique users of the explorer.

Will wallet history be exportable in CSV format, compatible with major tax reporting software, such as Koinly? This would be a key feature for me.

Hi! Thanks for your question.
This feature is not included in basic functionality as is, however, if grant awarded we could totally discuss it and add it to the list:) The interests and needs of the community are our priority, and this idea is really handy I must say!

Total fund request is 100k?. the facilities i personal look for is like moralis api with nudget pack and with all the function. What are the additional functionality you guys can provide us.

Nope. The basic functionality (cross-chain transactions + public dev API included) is $23,000. Then, there are options to expand: if adding up FT/FT detalization it is +$10,000. If adding further the charts and stats dashboard it’s +$8,000. So even if going for the whole list of things we can implement, the max. requirement will be $41,000.
However, yet again, the basic functionality (which is already pretty wholesome) is $23,000.

Being able to integrate with the TradFi world would certainly facilitate more widespread adoption.
