@eae The Coinbase IOTex currency support page does not list ERC-20 and makes no mention of a potential conflict with the rest of the crypto exchanges:

On Coinbase supported crypto page it says IOTX is supported for sending and receiving. How are we supposed to understand then that this was wrong for us. Especially like you said after they gave us a transfer address and no types of warning. This is the kind of cheats Congress thinks they need to protect and will be in every business before long. Due to scams like this on Coinbase. I have zeros trust in them now.

This is their problem. Warnings on some coins but not all and now we are out thousands
Have you downloaded the IoPay wallet and import the destination address from your transaction HASH? Because you do this and you will see all the coins you purchased and transferred. They are still on the IoTex blockchain. IoTex can release them with a stroke of their keyboard if they want to. They are there and you an see them in your wallet.

I downloaded IoPay and tried to scan the Coinbase QR code for where I tried to send my coins and it says invalid Address. I can however, see my transaction hash and the completed transaction on BSCScan which is what i used to send my iotex (metamask → coinbase)

An ethereum token is an ERC20 token. The only thing this helps us with is that they don’t mention that IOTX also comes in native form and that there may be conflicts trying to transfer different formats between exchanges.

Yeah and when I transferred my IOTX tokens I got no warnings as I had in the past for other coins. They added that warning recently after the complaints and support tickets we’ve sent them.

I already filed the complaint at CFPB. They say it will take about 15 days to get a response.
